The practitioners at Plains Regional Medical Center are among the finest in the region and provide highly-specialized care, supported by a team of experienced health professionals.

Audiology

Offering audiology services focused on hearing, inner ear problems, balance and other ear and hearing-related disorders. We offer testing and diagnostic studies from ages 6 months to senior citizens.

Cardiology

Cardiology is a specialty dedicated to treating disorders of the heart, including the diagnosis and treatment of congenital heart defects, heart failure, coronary disease, valvular heart disease, electrophysiology, and more.

Cardiopulmonary

The cardiopulmonary specialty is concerned with disorders of the heart and chest. Services include the medical diagnosis and treatment of congenital heart defects, heart failure, coronary disease, valvular heart disease, electrophysiology, breathing disorders, chronic cough, severe allergies, asthma, and more.

Diabetes Education

Plains Regional Medical Center offers Diabetes Education Programs to the community in group and individual settings. Programs focus on healthy living and effective management of diabetes.

Family Medicine

Family medicine offers a range of general health care for individuals and families.

Gastroenterology

Gastroenterology is a specialty concerned with the digestive system, including disorders and conditions affecting the gastrointestinal tract. The esophagus, stomach, small and large intestines, rectum, liver, and pancreas are most commonly included within this specialty.

General Surgery

Offering a wide range of evaluation and surgical treatment services for the internal abdominal organs, hernias, and some thyroid conditions using surgical, microscopic, and laparoscopic techniques.

Hematology/Oncology

The hematology/oncology specialty features physicians concerned with the study, diagnoses, and treatment of cancer (oncology) and blood disorders hematology). Hematology/oncology includes such diseases as iron deficiency anemia, hemophilia, sickle cell disease, leukemia, lymphomas, cancer, and more.

Infectious Diseases

Offering diagnosis and treatment of infectious diseases.

Internal Medicine

Specializing in the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of adult diseases.

Nephrology (via on-site telehealth only)

Offering care in kidney function, including various kidney diseases, kidney failure, and more.

Obstetrics and Gynecology (OB/GYN)

Obstetrics and gynecology (OB/GYN) is a specialty dedicated to caring for women through all stages of their lives. We provide well-woman exams, including Pap and pelvic exams, family planning and contraception, STD screenings, prenatal and pregnancy care, support during and after birth, and surgical and non-surgical treatments for conditions of the female reproductive system.

Orthopedics and Orthopedic Surgery

Orthopedics is a specialty dedicated to injuries and diseases related to the musculoskeletal system, including bones, joints, tendons, ligaments and muscles. Sports injuries, joint replacements, degenerative diseases, congenital disorders, tumors, and infections are also included in this specialty.

Pediatrics

Pediatrics is a primary care specialty focused on the physical, mental, and social health and well-b​eing of infants, children, adolescents, and young adults. Pediatricians provide a broad spectrum of health services, ranging from well-child checks to more specialized care.

Pharmacy (Inpatient)

Collaborating with care teams to insure patients' pharmacological and dietetic needs are met.

Radiation Oncology

Radiation oncology is a specialty devoted to the treatment of cancer using radiation to kill cancer cells, eradicate tumors, and provide relief of cancer-related symptoms.

Same Day Care Clinic

When your primary care physician is unavailable, our family medicine providers are available to provide same day and after hours care for minor and non-life-threatening conditions, such as colds, sore throats, sprains and strains, minor broken bones, and allergy flare ups.

Urology

Urology​ is a specialty focused on diseases of the male and female urinary tract and the male reproductive organs. Though classified as a surgical specialty, urologists possess expertise in internal medicine, pediatrics, and gynecology due to the wide variety of clinical problems encountered in this specialty.
