Presbyterian Featured As “Hospital Of Tomorrow” In U.S. News And World Report

Release Date:

September 17, 2014

Presbyterian Healthcare Services was recently featured in the article “Tomorrow's Hospital Will Be Dynamic” in U.S. News and World Report’s Best Hospitals Issue.

The article highlighted several innovative initiatives at Presbyterian, including the Hospital at Home program, which provides hospital-quality care in patient’s homes, and an integrated team approach to the Patient-Centered Medical Home model, which includes a primary care provider, behavioral therapist, pharmacist and care manager in one place.

According to U.S. News, the hospital of the future will be part of a dynamic system like Presbyterian where much of the care happens beyond the walls of the hospital. This approach is aimed at keeping people well and making sure they “get the right care at the right time in the right setting,” says James Hinton, Presbyterian Healthcare’s president and CEO, who is also chairman of the board of trustees at the American Hospital Association.
