Plains Regional Medical Center Welcomes New Cardiologist

CLOVIS, N.M. – Plains Regional Medical Center is pleased to welcome cardiologist Jaya Bathina, MD.

Dr. Bathina specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of heart and circulatory problems. She is experienced in providing cardiac catheterizations and managing challenging end-stage heart failure patients.

“We are pleased to welcome Dr. Bathina to our team,” said Vince DiFranco, administrator, Plains Regional Medical Center. “She brings much needed services to Curry County. Now more patients can get the heart care they need close to home.”

Dr. Bathina earned her medical degree from Mamata Medical College in Khammam, Telangana, India. She completed her internal medicine residency at Saint Vincent Hospital in Worcester, Mass. and her cardiology fellowship at Christiana Care Health System in Newark, Del. She is board certified in internal medicine, echocardiography, nuclear medicine, vascular medicine and hypertension.

“I have been interested in medicine since I was a child so I am excited to join Plains Regional Medical Center as a cardiologist,” said Dr. Bathina. “My sister and fiancé are also physicians at the hospital so I feel right at home and am looking forward to caring for the people in this wonderful community.”
