Plains Regional Medical Center Recognized As Weather-Ready Nation Ambassador

October 20, 2015

CLOVIS, N.M. – Plains Regional Medical Center (PRMC) has recently been accepted as a National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) Weather-Ready Nation Ambassador.

“Plains Regional Medical Center is committed to our community and to saving lives,” said Vince DiFranco, administrator, Plains Regional Medical Center. “This recognition by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration reveals our dedication to preparing for extreme weather conditions and other disasters. While we hope we will never confront these difficult situations, it is our responsibility to our patients, staff and community to do whatever we can to be prepared.”

At PRMC, we ensure that our facility and our employees are “weather-ready” with regular disaster drills, weather-related emergency plans and by sharing key messages from the NOAA.

The Weather-Ready Nation Ambassador initiative is an effort to formally recognize NOAA partners who are improving the nation’s readiness against extreme weather, water, and climate events. As a Weather-Ready Nation Ambassador, PRMC is committing to working with NOAA and other Ambassadors to strengthen national resilience against extreme weather.
